Here are some common questions about Capitanes del Futuro Program
Who is this program for?
Hispanic boys and girls between 13-18 years old, who are passionate about soccer and interested in becoming future leaders on and off the field.
What will I earn?
This program will help you become a Capitán on and off the field. It will give you access to the behind-the-scenes world of soccer and sports marketing, including special events at the soccer clubs, internships, courses, mentoring, apprenticeships, and scholarships. Our goal is to open doors for Hispanic youth.
When does the program start?
The program has started but we keep accepting new members. Register now for a chance to attend special soccer events.
How can I apply to the program?
No need to apply! Anyone can participate online, or sign up for our newsletter to stay up-to-date on any upcoming in-person events in your area!
How many kids will join?
We are looking for 500 kids per city but are open to serving more children as needed.
What is the program duration?
Capitanes del Futuro is an ongoing program that combines in-person and online activities. It is intended to become a life-long source of support. Once a member, always a member.
Do I have to play soccer to join?
No, but you must have a passion for the game. Soccer is at the core of the program.
Who is behind this initiative?
This is a joint initiative between P&G and its brands, the MLS and its teams, and many other companies and organizations committed to supporting the Latino community’s progress. You can find more information here: link to press release
Can I do this program in Spanish?
Yes. Events in person might not be fully bilingual, depending on your location. However, there will always be Spanish-speaking staff. Whenever possible, online content will also be available in Spanish.
